I brought them a dozen donut holes (half sprinkles, half plan glazed) from Rise, a little boutique fancy donut place…and a big bag of assorted mini candies and a thank you note. They were confused and tried to refuse the gifts and I told them it was a “thank you gift” and they got my precious back to me and now everyone’s feeling better.
I left something very valuable to me in the Banana Republic store last night while I was shopping and running errands and when I called the store talking like a crazy woman last night at 10:00 pm they answered and confirmed they had my item and would keep it locked in the office for me. I’m going to pick it up as soon as they open/my meetings allow, which is about 10:00 am.
My question to you lovely people is…based on your varied experiences in retail should I:
a. bring them a box of Chick Fil A biscuits
b. bring them a box of BoJangles biscuits
c. bring a generous Starbucks gift card to be left for the individual who found my item and turned it in
d. show up and just be really, really grateful, no prizes or rewards necessary
NEW: E: CANDY People are suggesting a big bag of candy so I’m adding this as an option because it sounds like a great idea
My worry is that if I bring them in something yummy they won’t be allowed/able to accept the gift, much less consume it before it all gets cold. I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts?
